How to play:
the deck is made up of a standard playing card deck except all the red face cards have been removed
you start with 20 HP and can never go above it
All heart cards give you health equal to their value
All diamonds are weapons that can slay monsters, and for one time (shown by the red outline) you can slay a monster greater than the strength of the card but take damage equal to the difference.
For example if you have a 3 of diamonds in your weapon slot and you slay a 5 of clubs you take 2 damage.
after you slay a monster with a weapon, the next monster must be equal or lower cost of the last slain monster. For example if you slay a 6 of clubs you must slay a 6 of spades or any card of lower value.
All Spades and Clubs are monsters, you can choose to fight the monsters directly and take damage equal to the monsters card value, or slay the monster to take no damage or damage equal to the difference of the weapon value and the monster value.
A room is the made of four cards from the deck, a new room starts whenever there is only one card left in the room, after that the deck will draw 3 new cards to make a new room.
If you don`t like your current room you can run from the room, you can only run if you have not played a card from the current room and have not used the run action in the previous room. If you run from a room that room is then put onto the bottom of the deck
